**Due to work and family obligations, we will not be able to have hunts in 2024**
A Legacy to Pass Down Generations
Growing up, I excitedly listened to my grandpa tell stories about pheasant hunting all across Idaho. My grandma would leave in the morning with her single barrel .410 and come home with pheasant for lunch. They loved pheasant hunting; they loved it so much that my grandma carried shot in the back of her head from where my grandpa accidentally shot her one day! (they both lived into their 90's) But that didn't stop them from hunting. They were sad to see the day that pheasant populations declined or disappeared from some parts of Idaho. My dad and grandpa have instilled a love of the outdoors in me and taught me to hunt in a respectful and responsible way. A few years ago, I wanted to see if pheasant hunting was as spectacular as Dad and Grandpa portrayed it to be. It was! I love seeing the dogs work, the birds flushing like rockets, and then the rest is up to the shooter.
With no wild pheasants in the Big Lost River range, we are excited to bring back pheasant hunting to this part of eastern Idaho. We are blessed that our cattle ranch and farm has the Big Lost River running through it. This provides a natural hunting experience. There is a lot of ground to let your dogs work, not to mention the wonderful mountain views.
We hope we can share our tradition of ranching and hunting with you and your family. We look forward to seeing you soon here at Legacy Game Birds!

Memories that Last
While here, take advantage of the many local attractions. Before the snow blows in, enjoy hiking, ATV trails, fishing, or a visit to Craters of the Moon National Monument. Ice fishing at the Mackay Reservoir, skiing/snowboarding in nearby Sun Valley, or hot springs in Challis are a few options for winter days.
